Tuesday March 7, 2006
I also understand that the idea of a reality show centering around thirteen no-name fashion designers competing for a highly coveted spot in the tents of Bryant Park during Fashion Week may not initially strike every person’s fancy. Such persons have obviously never seen “Project Runway.”
Night Watch puts new face on battle of good vs evil
by Zara Messano
Wednesday February 22, 2006
Long ago, the forces of light and the forces of darkness met in a battle that would annihilate all existence. To save themselves, they made a pact that they would live side by side. The Day Watch would watch the forces of light, the Night Watch the forces of darkness. Each watch would keep the other side in check so that balance could be maintained. When a thousand years and more pass, it is prophesied that the Great One will come. He will choose one side or the other to fight on, and the side he chooses will win. This man is Anton (Konstantin Khabensky).

Did you know Ben Apatoff just got a cell phone? Yeah, I know you want the number. Is Sufjan Stevens hiding out on our campus? Yes, I saw him in the Health Food Bar eating oranges. You think that’s hot? Wait ‘til I tell you what Michelle Yu sings in the shower.
By now, you must know how all these people are connected (I mean, I would hope you read the headline): they’re all members of Jesse Rifkin & the Wailing Wall. Obviously, the above are the wailing portion.

I think my don is senile. What should I do?

Tuesday November 29, 2005
A culture was born in 1979, Bronx, N.Y. Initially, an urban form of expression through music, hip-hop became its own genre and eventually inspired a whole new lifestyle. This lifestyle was expressed through a variety of creative arts such as dance, beat, rhythm and spoken word. The combination of hip-hop with urban experience and creativity created terms like beatboxing, B-Boy-ing and emceeing.

by By Liz Atkins
Monday November 14, 2005
Thursday night’s Film Society screening of Alejandro Jodorowsky was described in the daily e-mail as "A magical pistol- dream western raveling every sensory inhibition to discover truth in the pains of the heart," and even with the description’s intriguingly disjointed structure, the movie was certainly everything promised.
